This relief is one of the series from a group of polyurethane reliefs on a steel plates.They are heads cast in reverse technique and mounted on rubbed steel plates. The polyurethane has a translucent quality that allows light from the underlying plate to show through.

Vladimir Kanevsky...Vladimir Kanevsky, sculptor, lives in New York City area, his Studio is in Fort Lee, New Jersey. He was born and raised in Kharkov, Ukraine, and was trained as an architect. After his immigrtaion to the US he has become one of the most important figures on the Russian artistic scene in New York City. His works have been exhibited in many important galleries, including Gelman Gallery. Vladimir is also a master of the porcelain craft and a great source of thoughts and inspiration for his friends poets and writers. |
